David R. Lionette
Senior Vice President

Mr. Lionette’s primary responsibilities include managing complex distressed investments, recommending and implementing alternative exit strategies with a goal of maximizing return and preserving capital.  Prior to joining Madison, Mr. Lionette was a Managing Director of Asset Management at Republic Financial, responsible for managing portfolios and maximizing the return on the assets purchased by the group. Prior to joining Republic in 2001, he spent three years as a Senior Vice President with a commercial finance, merchant banking and servicing company, where he developed policies and guidelines to ensure the preservation of capital and maintain the quality of the portfolio. From 1991 to 1998 he was positioned as a Vice President for Citicorp in various decision-making capacities recommending uses and strategies for the institution's capital and managing portfolios of assets. Prior to joining Citicorp, Mr. Lionette spent three years as a Vice President in a corporate finance division of Bankers Trust Company. He also spent five years with Bank of Boston in their leveraged finance group. Mr. Lionette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University. Mr. Lionette is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and has passed all levels required for a Certification in Distressed Business Valuation.
