Joseph L. Landen

Mr. Landen’s primary responsibilities include sourcing, researching, underwriting and managing Madison’s corporate distressed investments. Mr. Landen has over 7 years of experience completing financial analysis on public companies, private closely-held companies, and illiquid financial assets. During his tenure at Madison, Mr. Landen has completed more than $27 million of investment volume. Prior to joining Madison in 2005, Mr. Landen was a Senior Associate with Willamette Management Associates where he was responsible for managing valuation engagements of companies in a broad range of industries and for a variety of purposes including the issuance of fairness opinions, dispute resolution, and financial reporting. Prior to that, he was an Associate with Johnson Lambert & Co., an accounting and litigation consulting firm, where he focused on examining financial records for the purpose of documenting fraudulent transactions for use in litigation matters. Mr. Landen earned a Bachelors in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration from Roanoke College and a Masters of Science in Accounting with a Financial Management Concentration form the University of Virginia. Mr. Landen is a Certified Public Accountant and a CFA charterholder. Mr. Landen currently serves on the board of the Ascent Foundation, a Denver based charitable organization.
