Kjerstin R. Hatch

Ms. Hatch’s primary responsibilities include managing Madison’s investment portfolio and overseeing the firm’s investment professionals. Ms. Hatch has over a decade of experience in the detailed analysis of illiquid securities including: distressed and defaulted securities, limited partnerships, municipal bonds, and real estate. Her investment experience spans hundreds of investments within the real estate, automotive supply, energy and natural resources, retail, cable, agriculture and other industries. She is a frequent contributor in print commentary and as a speaker and panelist at conferences involving illiquid securities, asset backed lending, and distressed investments. Prior to joining Madison in 1998, Ms. Hatch was the portfolio manager for nine private investment funds with MacKenzie Patterson, Inc. (San Francisco), specializing in the illiquid securities market. Ms. Hatch earned a BA in the Political Economy of Industrialized Societies from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Tenant In Common Association, and the Turnaround Management Association.
