Ward T. Dietrich

Mr. Dietrich is primarily responsible for Madison’s corporate and capital development-related activities. Mr. Dietrich has also been a member of the firm's Investment Committee for approximately six years, overseeing over $870 million of investments during this time period. As part of this role, Mr. Dietrich provides guidance to Madison’s investment analysts regarding the evaluation of investments, including acquisition and disposition activities. In addition to his role on the Investment Committee, Mr. Dietrich also has oversight of selected key strategic functions, which include: evaluating new business opportunities; structuring and marketing new investment funds and joint ventures; researching the alternative investment industry; evaluating tax-related structuring options (for both investments and funds); balance sheet management (e.g., financing) for Madison and its funds; and managing fund reporting, investor relations, and capital raising. Since Mr. Dietrich joined Madison in 1997, his responsibilities have spanned across a number of Madison’s key business areas, such as managing the assets of the firm’s investment funds, identifying acquisition and disposition targets, developing and maintaining investment performance metrics, managing investor reporting and legal/tax/regulatory project management. Prior to joining Madison, Mr. Dietrich was the Marketing Manager for Euromoney PLC’s financial training programs. Mr. Dietrich earned an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business in finance and marketing, and a BPS from Pratt Institute, in construction management. He is a member of the CFA Institute and NYSSA. |
